Arwa Qalalwa
Arwa Qalalwa is a Palestinian Architect and Designer who explores relationships between objects, users, and space and the set of interactions that collide in the “in-between.”
Arwa Qalalwa got her BArch degree from Birzeit University in Palestine, where she was awarded for excellence in her thesis, and in 2020 she was awarded the prestigious Fulbright scholarship. In 2022, Arwa completed her NAAB accredited Master of Architecture IA program with high distinction from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

In 2022, Arwa Qalalwa was awarded the first prize in the AIA Award in Architecture student competition and was also awarded the competitive Henry Adams Medal for academic excellence for the year 2022 by the American Institute of Architects.
In 2018, Arwa won the second prize in the Palestine Land society competition hosted in London for reconstructing the destroyed Palestinian villages. She was also awarded the best graduation project from Birzeit University.

In 2020 Arwa founded ARQA Design Studio with a vision of change. Through her architecture practice, Arwa creates experiences of high functionality, elegance, and a unique user experience.
